Properties of Amla
- Rasa (taste) – It has five tastes. – sour, sweet, bitter, astringent and pungent (all the five tastes, excluding salt). Sour is dominant taste.
- Guna (qualities) – Guru(heavy), Sheeta (cool)
- Veerya (potency) – Sheeta (cold)
- Vipaka (taste conversion after digestion) – Madhura (sweet)
- Effect on Tridosha – Tridoshahara ( It balances all the three Doshas)

For Vata balance :
If anyone has disease or disorder due to imbalance of Vata Disha like joints pain,then Amla can be taken along with Sesame oil .
For Pitta balance :
If anyone suffer from disease or disorder due to imbalance of Pitta Dosha like skin problem, then Amla can be taken with Ghee
For Kapha balance :
If anyone suffer from disease or disorder due to imbalance of Kapha Dosha like respiratory problems , then Amla can be taken with Honey
